How would Albert Pujols perform during Babe Ruth's era? - babe indexes jpg

Carlos Beltran question here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ...

I thought it was really interesting, and someone has an update on how the "what if" s in both directions. Just as Albert Pujols in the era of Babe Ruth.

Some things to note before he answered:

1. The point, feeding, training and growing conditions and how difficult it was at the time of Ruth.

Consider this: The players were stronger because they were living under conditions that all products of our environment if they lived in modern times and will be charged the way players are facing today holds not much to see if the difference in the physical.

Special arrangements are not necessary because the food was fresh and healthy. There are a wide range of foods and supplements today, but also processed foods, which comes with a diet too low, pesticides and hormones injected into beef (cancer risk).

Training: I do not think that modern education has little effect on players. I advanced trainings necessary because the players are not raised to be strong as ever. Life was much more physical in the days and permanent, regular exercise was not necessary.

2. The talent pool is much smaller. The world has much less to all of today's technology it is possible to obtain a larger amount of talent. Baseball was also laid to rest. Babe Ruth did not face Satchel Paige (Babe Ruth never during the exhibition games I think it's sorta met suspicion) and Joe Williams. While Babe Ruth had to know the best players, half would probably not have played if the leagues were merged and allowed to play blacks and Hispanics face.
